We jumped into the car to drive to the school. We reached the gate of the school just in time to get on the bus. The bus took us to downtown to meet the other protesters. They handed us the signs and we started marching down the street until the police stopped us to make way for the bicycle race. We stood back behind the fence and waited for all the cyclists to pass us before we continued marching in the protest to City Hall.
