about this story

Jim and Shayla where walking to school after a long weekend. It was a very quiet morning so Jim decided to start a conversation. "Sooooo," he started "What did you do this weekend?" he asked as she looked up from her phone. Shayla looked around to see if there was anyone in sight, "Are you talking to me?" she asked confused. "Yeah," he said. "Oh, sorry I wasn't listening what did you say? Shayla said stuffing her phone in her pocket. "I asked what you did this weekend," he said with a small chuckle. "Well on Saturday my family got a new cat that we named Kitty after playing with her almost night as the sun was rising we went hand gliding. On Sunday after church my friends and I started wandering around town. After a while we saw a gate in an alleyway that said 'rando' with a letter cut from it but we still thought nothing of it. We opened the gate as it creaked loudly. We walked through the passage having an unsettling feeling rising up deep within me. When we got to the end of the a ray of light shined in our eyes. We squinted into the blinding light ahead of us and only found a small village having a festival. A we walked around we found a clothing story full of beautiful handmade dresses, shirts and anything else you could think of. We went inside and bought of a few tops and dresses and promised to come back soon to visit the people there. So how was your weekend?" Shayla finished smiling her eyes sparkling. " It was good but way less exciting that yours," Jim said laughing. Shayla smiled tucking a piece of hair behind her ear " Tell me all about it," she laughed before Jim started rambling on about his weekend just as she had.
