My teacher came to school today during history day to talk to us about his experience in Vietnam. He made the whole class quiet down and he began his story: "I joined the military when I was 18 and was immediately sent to war when I was 21. My crew and I went to the humid Vietnam with flies and insects everywhere you looked. We saw things that were extremely vandalized and destroyed, but the jungle also had flowers and trees everywhere." He talked about how once he head shot a communist and the whole class got extremely excited and loud because of their morbid interest in death. The class excited the room with a smile on their face because they realized how cool their teacher was.
