Five Card Story: A day out

No way was she going to pick those flowers! They had just bloomed and she'd been tending to them for so long. She was on her way to church anyway, so she wouldn't be able to put them in water. After church, she decided to take a long walk through the woods. She had always enjoyed the pleasant smells and sounds of the forest. Before long, it was dusk and the sky was changing from gorgeous rich colors to the dark dull colors of evening. As she made her way home, she passed her neighbors who were sitting on their porch. They had just returned from a long bike ride. They greeted her and asked if she knew anything about the construction up the street. They had seen scaffolding outside one of the office buildings down the block. Unfortunately, she didn't know anything about it. On she skipped back home. It was time to rest and settle into her favorite book.
