"It's cold out here", Ben says complaining to his Mother."But isn't it magnificent", his mother replies. Winter had come very early this year. In fact it was about a month early. Some of the leaves are even green still. "We will go in for diner soon just stop complaining", Bens mother says with a sigh. "Why do I even have to be out here", Ben thought to himself. Ben looked at his mother angrily. She said," don't you remember when we would all come out here as a family". "That was a long time ago", Ben replied. "you used to walk on the frozen stream and sled down the hills", Bens mother said with a sad expression. Ben wanted to comfort his mother, but he knew it was her faults it like this now. "why does she act sad when she was the one who took us away from dad", Ben thought. Ben hasn't seen his dad in 2 years since the divorce. He blamed his mother for most of it. Ben turns to his mother and says," Its your fault I know Dad would never abandon us". "There are some things that you just don't understand yet Ben," HIs mother replied. "I understand perfectly fine," Ben replied. "Time for diner", Bens mom replies terminating the conversation. "whatever", Ben replied in a annoyed tone. They both got up and started walking the trail back to the house. Ben stopped and said," I just want dad back". His mother continues waling without a word. Ben sees a tear drop roll down her face. "Sorry I took it to far", Ben thought to himself, but he couldn't say it because he didn't know if it was true.
