about this story

Once upon a time there was a man. This so-called man was very skinny and tall. His passion was taking photographs, he carried around his camera. Snaps and clicks of strange things. He stumbled upon a giant stump that had pointy sticks growing tall. Looking like they were about to chow him down. There were no leaves, possibly fall was just around the corner. As he walks closer an closer to the ledge. He shivers and wraps his blue knit sweater around his body. Grasping the warmth. Thinking it was once his dads. He wipes off tear and pushes the thorny leaves away. Then places his camera on the wet grass. He pulls his sweater off his body and ties it around his waist not thinking. “Wow” all he can say as he stands up right on the cliff. He smiles and laughs, but when he looks down far beneath the cliff. There were people..people getting eaten? What was this madness? He swallows big balls of saliva. He gets closer and closer to see the famous 100-foot cliff. He gulps again as he sees a pair of eyes looking back at him like his own pair. He bends his knees so he doesn’t fall and walks slowly to get his camera. He grins as he picks up his gooey-slimy camera. He put it up in the air to shake it off, along with the crunchy brown leaves. His arms are so restless he doesn’t care about the slime. He walks over to the cliff unbending his knees. He opens his camera lenses and starts to snap the waves. He sees the shallow end with people screaming. The last photo found on his camera was him getting eatin’ in the shallows.
