It was a quiet day on the Eucalyptus river. Nothing. No one but me and my kayak. Suddenly I heard screaming. "Ahhhhhhh-" and it was gone. Insane. Any person who did that must be a total idiot. The year was 2019 and it kept getting worse. Poverty had struck. My country fell so far and I had to get away from it.
Where was the cliff diver. He jumped probably jumped 100 yards away.
"Hello" I yelled "Is anyone there. Hello".
I paddled to where he had jumped and then I saw his body and I couldn't tell if he was breathing. I had to get him out of there and on to the bank. I grabbed a hold of him and heaved him into my kayak. I paddled to shore and started trying to do CPR until he woke up.
"Ugh. Hello"
"Hi"
"Oh hi. You saved me, why"
"I had to. By the way I'm Jamie."
"Cameron. Thank you"
"So why did you jump"
"For fun"
"Really"
"No. I thought I had to. I have no one. I needed to leave. I had no one."
"Well you had me"
And then everything changed we were together forever.
"And that's the raspberry trail or more commonly known as how I met your father"
