The sun was setting. Each second that went by, the darkness consumed more, like a bottomless pit with no end. Through the window of the nature center I lived above, I could see nothing, the darkness just consumed the market place. I took one last look at the flower I stole, the one that reminded me of the love I lost, and I slept. No one knew I lived in the nature center, to most I looked like an under paid employee, just trying to figure out how to live life. But I was smarter than that, I knew there was no point to life. As I looked out the window, I could see the everyday lives of those around me, all trying to make a living, trying to be happy. I knew better, for I am merely a spectator in my own life, watching through the eyes of the person I used to be. I had no intention of succeeding, after I lost the one I loved, nothing felt right. It was getting dark again, had the days gotten that short? I looked out the window, expecting the darkness, but instead I saw the stairs, the stairs to heaven. My time had finally come, the time I had been mentally preparing for. I took one last look at the flowers, and ascended to the stars.
