Long, long ago, we began as an eager group of students, with the open sky above us, the road ahead, and the thoughts of success on the horizon. Along the way, we soon realized, death loomed in our future, and we sadly lost several of our team mates. Moreover, parts of our soul died, never to be revived.
Alone, feeling lost and abandoned at many points, without feedback (you know what we're talking about), we turned inward, wondering what we were doing on this road toward nowhere.
But lo, there was a realization that there was hope around us. We reached out, one hand slowly extended, to find a connection with one another once more. And the universe answered. Our colleagues responded with generosity and optimism. Spring bloomed, the world warmed, the future seemed bright. And then, we recalled we had more money to pay, more hours to be in class, more assignments to complete. And we asked Scott to get us more coffee.
