about this story

Lakshmi lives in a mountain region in Nepal and faces extreme poverty due to the excessive rainfall. In order to support her family, she moves to the city but is tricked into being sold into a brothel. After realizing what situation she is in she realizes there is no escape or her new life. She sees Americans but the other girls tell her that Americans are mean and not to trust them. She months sitting in front of a TV watching shows in order to escape reality.
