about this story

A car stopped outside the courthouse, and a man stepped out. He looked up at the arches above the doorway, then he was shoved towards the doors. The court continued where it had left off the day before. The man had been accused by another, who claimed he had been attacked on the banks of the nearby river by the defendant. The man pleaded innocent, and evidence had been provided by the nearby nature preserve. The security video started, and showed that at the time of the attack, the defendant had been sitting on a bench enjoying the view. "How does the jury find the defendant?" "Innocent, your honor." The man was escorted outside, and released from his handcuffs. He took in a deep breath, and turned his face toward the dying sun. He was free at last.
