I stare up at tall, brick of the clock tower.Tears stream down my face and splatter mt Sunday dress. Why? Why did he jump? I see the face of my beloved friend on the ground. The blood pooled around her in a hot sticky mess. The way her lifeless body bent in abnormal ways. I turn and walk home. The gravel crunching beneath my feet. In the air there is a chill, much different from the warm sun that shone only minutes ago. Even the birds in the trees are silent. I wonder if they know she is not coming back. Her laugh was like the jingle of bells, and her smile shone more brightly than gold. Now everything seems to be gray and senseless. Even the boiled lobster dripping with butter doesn't change my thoughts. It only reminds me of the way her flesh burst from her skin. I walk outside and look at the sky. I remember the way she clung to hope like a lifeboat. They way she loved everything in her own way. Suddenly the sun burst through the clouds. A idea pops into my head.She wouldn't want me mopping around just because she is gone. I rush into the house and emerge with a single seed. The ground is soft and gets under my nails. The white of my dress shows smudges of dirt but i don't care. After 2 months of waiting a bright yellow flower blooms. the sight fills my heart with happiness and hope. as i sit there i realize Just because she is not here doesn't mean she is gone. It only means that i must spread the joy that she once sheared with me.
