I am a professional journal writer for a newspaper. I had a day off from my time consuming job and decided to explore the city. I used to take pictures in high school for people and I really enjoyed that, my parents were just not as accepting to that job. Anyway, the first picture is at my neighbor's house and this picture shows the beautiful contrast of colors. From red in the background to the grey and green contrast it makes for a beautiful photo. The second picture is just out of the city on a small beach that gets lots of wind, as you can tell. It was so soothing to hear the waves crashing up against the rocks. The third picture was taken on an island close to where I live, I took my dad's boat there. It is so peaceful there and to see all of the kids playing and having fun for sure made my day. The fourth picture is of my grandpa. He's the sweetest. I wanted to make this picture as heartwarming and confusing as possible. He had been working outside all day in his garden, and of course he is always cold. I wanted it to look like he could possibly be homeless but the reader doesn't really know. I think a lot of emotions could be put into this. The fifth picture is in an alley way about two blocks from my house. If you can't tell, I love the contrast of colors and I think this photo is beautiful. With the different patterns and colors, it makes for a relaxing image.
