Five Card Story: Caleb and His Walk

about this story
This story is about an opossum who accidentally got lost while taking a walk. This opossum is named Caleb. Caleb lives in this garage. Every day at two pm Caleb goes for a walk. He knows his way by the scent in the air. But today it was windy and the air miss-led Caleb. As he tried to find his way home he got hungry. So he went to 7-11 and used their complimentary microwave to heat up his purchase. After he ate his food he continued walking, hoping the wind would calm so that he could sniff his way home. He suddenly became excited when he saw a young child playing in a park. Caleb loves to play and began having fun with the child, soon forgetting that he was lost. As the sun started to set, the child had to go home. Caleb then remembered that he needed to go home too. Caleb then leaves the park and begins walking. He then sees his favorite wild flowers growing in a yard similar to the ones that grows next door to him. That is when Caleb knew he was close to home. He became very excited. Caleb finally made it back. He was tired from his long day and decided it was time to go to sleep. So he turned on the computer to his favorite screen saver, fall foliage, and drifted off to sleep.
