天色將暗的時候Rex獨自開著家裡的紅色貨卡出門，他一直很嚮往能在這鳥不生蛋的小鎮有些探險，每天最愛做的事就是看犯罪電影，卻從出生就住在治安最好的小鎮，他常感到憤恨不平。開著開著Rex走到一個死巷，死巷的尾端是一片鐵絲網圍欄，Rex下車察看發現鐵絲上綁著一條棉線，湊近一看，線上竟沾滿鮮血!
【喂!你在那裏幹嘛!】Rex回頭看到一位高大的軍官俯視著他，【說話啊!你該不會是獨灣派來的間諜吧!可惡...還以為我們已經找了個夠不起眼的小鎮了...】見Rex都不回話，軍官舉起槍托往Rex的腦門敲下去，而Rex最後看到的僅是軍官身上別著的102號誌，想著【啊...今天又要晚回家惹媽媽生氣了...】，接著便失去了意識。
