about this story
It was the last day of school of the 7th grade. Everyone was talking about what they are going to do on the summer, but, one girl was alone, Avery, even though she was happy, she didn´t have enough courage to talk to other people. Her self-esteem have been low since last year, when she started being bullied.
After school she walked home, her parents died in a car accident and her grandmother, who takes care of her, is sick. As walking home, crossing the street, she founded a rose, growing out of the ground. She was amazaned by it, it was so beautiful. She picked up it, she had fallen in its spell. As she holded the rose she looked around, no one was there. She asked herself why she was alone on the street, she was sure more people were crossing it. She heard a horn, and realized the trafic lights were red. But, unfortunally, it was too late.
