about this story
Before beginning the EdD endeavor, my life was quiet, like a cemetery quiet. I had completed my Master's and life was go home and go to work. My mind was numb.
Then I began searching for a terminal degree that would stimulate me and, of course, I would do well in. Then, like the lyrics of a familiar song, EdD Leadership program at VCU showed up on my computer screen. I knew that would be for me.
I knew this would be no walk in the park. I knew that to hang in a doctoral program, I would have to think way outside the box, far beyond the realm of any thinking or thoughts I achieved in my previous degrees. During my time in this program, my thoughts have been cloudy and I couldn't see where I was going. But I'm making it through.
Now, it's a smooth ride toward completion. It's not easy, and there is still much weight to tow in order to get to the end. But I'll get there.
