about this story

The door closed.

It was done. Over. He couldn't believed it. Why?

He walked towards a bench and sat, numb. The feeling, it's heavy like he's drowning and it's getting sohardtobreathe-

He suddenly stood, eyes unfocused, heart disarrayed, and walked home.

"It's been weeks" He mused as he looked out the window watching the people down below. Should he...? No. She only said that she needed space, she'll come back, he's sure of it.

Weeks turn to months, and months turn to years, he waited and waited sitting on that bench, watching as the trees grow, fall and be covered in snow.

It's cold, he thought as he rub his arms staring at the door as if it'll open with her welcoming him.

He shook his head. "She needed more time." He said.

Time passed by and slowly, his hope to see her again, to hold her, slowly faded away.

It was August. He stood outside the worn-out door, wishing, just for one more time, that she'll come back.

But life was never that kind, wasn't it?

Slowly, he backed away and turned around. He walked away from the door, leaving what was left of his love behind. He's so tired. Why bother anymore?

She's never coming back.
