It was getting late and I was restless, we had just arrived in the new city and wanted to just go out for a bit and explore. The dog was sleeping, so I decided I should go alone. My husband suggested waiting until morning, but I chose to risk it.
I took a straight route down the street and saw some cute little shops. Due to the time of day, they were all closed. As I continued my walk, I passed a house with an adorable cat in the window. I swear I heard it whisper, "TURN BACK." Again, I failed to heed the advice, however, did the cat REALLY speak?
I continued walking and was soon out of the neighborhood. It was getting even darker. Then, believe it or not, the tree whispered, "GO HOME". Now, I was petrified. I started running but didn't know where I was going. A dog started chasing me and I ran even faster. Finally, up ahead I could see a house. Surely, they would help me get back to the B&B! As I approached, I realized this would be impossible. No one was there and a padlock kept me out.
As panic set in, all I could think was I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED.
