about this story
There once was a dog named Toby. Toby was a strong dog with a friendly heart. Although his family loved him very much and provided him with as many toys as he could ever want, his favorite toys were his family's shoes. One day, while playing with his shoes, he heard the front door close. Toby ran to the door and watched his family drive away. They left him often, this wasn't new for Toby. He loved to stare out the window, waiting for them to come home. He finally heard them driving up the driveway and jumped up with excitement. He could hear his family getting closer to the door. When they entered, he noticed a peculiar smell. When he looked into the box that his mom was holding, he saw what would be a new addition to the family - a big, pink and grey snake.
