about this story

The Elements of Argument

In traditional education, we don’t teach kids that they’re artists. Instead, we teach them that art or talent is meant only for a few. We reinforce them to wear masks of mediocrity by making mediocrity the norm. However, we should teach them that if they’re sharks, they can learn to be tigers, or if they’re tigers, they can learn to be sharks. Then, and only then, will educators be able to say they did their jobs and taught students how to pack and prepare for the world.
