Being a drummer has it's ups and it's downs, and one good thing about being one is that there always seems to be a fellow musician in need of a drummer. But because there been so many legendary ground breaking drummers throughout the history of music, it can be hard to prove to people that you are a good drummer, and so you must present your skills each time someone inquires about them. Another bad thing about being a drummer is that when making suggestions on song structures, guitar players and even vocalist have the majority of the say in the matter, while the drummer sits on the sidewalk like a child annoyed at his Mother. But at the end of the day, when I am sad or frustrated with these things, I can always count on my drum-set to be there even when I am older and grey.
