One step at a time. That's what they have always told me. Close your eyes and breath. Not to deeply though. I close my eyes and I'm transported to a place I want to be. The warm sun and the smell of the ocean. I want to open my eyes and see it for real, but ever time I open them I'm back to the same place. A place I don't want to be. A brick wall stares back at me. I begin walking because I don't want to go home anymore. I being think again about the water and the place I would rather be the place in my head, but instead of a beach with rolling waves, I get a polluted pier. It's dark now and the wind now is cold. I close my eyes again to imagine a beach. This one is different. It's colder and I don't want to be here. The wind is here and it feels like i can't escape.
