about this story
Our elders are often some of the wisest people because they have the most life experience. However, once they leave the workplace like the man above, they often seem to be pushed out by society and almost shunned or ignored because they are slow and often weak and need assistance to get through each day. We should take as much as we can from them and listen because one day they will be gone forever. Just like we may bring a dog with us for a walk, we should bring the knowledge they are able to pass down with us wherever we may roam. In fact, just like a dog is only their for part of our lives, so will the elderly. Let's respect them and spark conversation because they have more to offer us then we can truly offer them before their time has come.
