Imagine you are on a date at a scenic view with your significant other, enjoying the moment and making memories that you do not want to forget. Now imagine if he/she took out their cellphone and started taking photos of your surroundings. The moment that you held so dear to you just a minute ago seems much less important now. Remember that vacation you took to Hawaii? What do you cherish more? The memory of you jumping into the clear blue water, or the photo of it? I would think it would be the memory. Have you ever seen something out in nature so beautiful that you wanted to save the moment on your phone? After you took that photo, the moment is gone, and when you look back at it, it will never be the same from when you were experiencing it. You can not recreate a moment by looking at a photo of it. Taking a photo of a moment makes it less meaningful.
