Some people believe the secret to happiness is in material things because society commercialized our lives for profit. But the real secret is enjoying life with the ones you love because strong relationships provide authentic happiness. Further, an ongoing Harvard study from 1938 showed strong association between happiness and close relationships. For example, memories from childhood like spending time with family at a carnival last longer and mean more than any toy ever had. Also, people spend all year planning and saving money just to spend a few days traveling and sight seeing together. Even more, people find happiness in the relationship they have with their pets. My Chihuahua provides me with more happiness than any material thing I have ever had. So, people should spend time building strong relationships because they provide the most happiness.
