As I look out the frost covered window, I can feel the cold from outside on my fingers. I walk outside to the patio and turn off the bright Christmas bulbs.
“Mom, let's go to the Christmas store!” I call out through the house. I go back inside and put my winter coat on, feeling warm again after I went outside. We walk through the streets, seeing the statue in the plaza by the Christmas shop is completely covered in glistening snow. I push open the Christmas shop's heavy wooden door, and we walk inside. The heat melts the snow off of our boots, and we go look around. When we get to the checkout counter, I see something engraved into the wood counter. The words love with a heart are scratched into it. I smile as we leave, thinking about it.
