about this story

Patricia Smith Churchland is a Canadian-American analytic philosopher noted for her contributions to neurophilosophy and the philosophy of mind. Churchland parents were both lacked in high school education. In spite of their limited education, they're still eager to attend Churchland in College and they still managed to send Churchland in a university. Even though many farmers in their community wasn't believed in her and thought that it's just a waste of money, they saw to it that she did so.

Churchland's life experiences made me realized that no matter what kind of challenges or difficulties or painful situations you go through in your life, we all have something deep within us that we can reach down and find the inner strength to get through them. With the help of her parents and to those who believed in her, she did it. And now look at her, she has contributed to the fields of philosophy of neuroscience, philosophy of the mind, and neuroethics.
