Maurice Merleau-Ponty studied in Paris where he took an examination in philosophy. He taught high school students before world war II, during the war he became an army officer. He became a professor in philosophy after teaching he received a chair of philosophy where he became a philosopher.

Merleau-Ponty publishing an essay of marxism and then someone claimed that he is one of them. He has an argument to soviet that they are a terrorist and showing violence and he made an essay from it titled "Humanism and Terror". Merleau-Ponty suddenly died from a stroked and he has unfinished manuscript, they published this manuscript 2 years after his death.
