I was walking in my large backyard. The sun was starting to go down and I can see all the sunset colors that are slowly changing as time progresses, it make me become distracted. The clouds that are fluffy and clumpy like little balls of cotton candy from a carnival. As I made my walk across the huge land area, I got lost in thought, thinking about my day and what happened. I do this a lot but I don't know why. I made my way into my town somehow, with tall red brick buildings, slowly decaying as the years go on. I have seen this building so much, yet right now it feels unfamiliar to me. Eventually I began walking on sidewalk, with it's cracked bricks that have been stuck together and in between each crack there is grass and weeds growing through, a jade green that peaks its way through like a child escaping a crowd. I notice that there aren't that many people out tonight. Usually I see people from fancy men, to women in comfy clothing walking their children to the grocery store. I soon come across a house that has small grey cat that is sitting on the house owner's porch. It's small oval lime eyes that watch and observe. It makes me realize that I miss my dog right now that is back at my house. Have I wondered too far? As the sun lowers down beneath the horizon, I have found my way back to my house. Parked in the driveway, there's my mothers car, that is an light orange color. I have asked her why she picked this particular color but she always replies with ``I like it.'' Does she really though? When I find my way inside my house, its strangely quiet, something that I'm not used to. I walk up the stairs to my bedroom, close the door, turn off the lights, and go to sleep.
