Maurice Jean Jacques Merleau-Ponty was a French phenomenological philosopher, strongly influenced by Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger. The constitution of meaning in human experience was his main interest and he wrote on perception, art, and politics. And his philosophy is commonly associated with the philosophical movement called existentialism and its intention to begin with an analysis of the concrete experiences, perceptions, and difficulties, of human existence. He believed the physical body to be an important part of what makes up the subjective I self, and he said the mind is part of the body and the body is part of the mind .I believe what he said because ,mind is invisible because cannot perceive it by having any part,on the other hand body is divisible because it’s can’t think of a body except having parts.Like me it’s defined my conscious thinking when I experience, my mind is processing and playing role that I have thoughts, feelings, attitudes, beliefs, and imagination.
