Gilbert Ryle was a British Philosopher from United Kingdom. In the year 1925, he became a lecturer. This allowed him to come up with his own philosophy about The Self. As a lecturer, you meet a lot of people. In order to understand them or to know how to approach them, you need to observe. With this idea, Ryle proved that you can know more about yourself if you know how you behave. You can understand other people if you analyze their behavior.
In summary, Gilbert Ryle’s philosophy is – “There are no more inner selves, immortal souls, states of consciousness and unconscious entities.” – Because your true self is how you present yourself. Your true self is what and how you behave.
