about this story

Guday, Carlo Joshua - Religion

I was born in a Catholic religion family. Being a catholic it influenced me on my decisions and it also affected on what kind of a person I am right now. Religion had affected my way of living in the way on how it helps me to prevent doing wrong deeds while it also promotes doing the good deeds, if I have troubles on how to solve difficult situations in life sometimes it can give me a solution. Even though I'm not a religious person it affected my way of living because it guides me on how to do things in the right way and how to prevent me from doing wrong things. Religion is man’s most fundamental orientation to reality according to Clifford Geertz. For me he is right because without an orientation to reality we wouldn't know where we would go and what we are about to face.

Lim, Jairis Christian - Religion

Being born as a Christian did not make sense of anything that we do until I came to a realization of what faith truly means. it's true that religion affects ones life, perspective, and individuality as I act in accordance to what I believe in. decisions also gave me a different personality as to how I act and how I affect others. As stated by Clifford Geertz with what religion r faith you uphold may define who you are and what path you may take for it would be the standard of how we judge right from wrong. In conclusion I have determined that religion highly affects one's growth and personality whether they think of themselves right or wrong in theory and in practice.

Mercader, Charlie - Socialization

One day my friends invited me to go on a trip to Bohol but I don't like to travel and i don't like to leave the house because my self-confidence is a bit low but they forced me to go with them so we can be complete friends to travel when we were in Bohol came to my mind that it was fun to interact with people so that we could experience things that we have never done or felt and we will also feel very happy to communicate with people because the our self-confidence and we also have a self-image because they become open to us and they can share their life experiences so it is very important to interact with the people around us so that we can learn and find knowledge and experience. As george herbert mead said that the self develops solely through social experience we must interact with other people so that we can have self-confidence and courage and have a self-image.

Nacpil, Angela - Extraversion

I used to only hear the peaceful sound of my footsteps dance around the floor tiles, until a wave of bodies passed me by. Though they wore faces like mine, I'd rather gaze at their shadows on the wall. Little by little, their voices began to sound like long, sharp fingernails scraping the insides of my ears. What once was a place of silence, was now littered with overwhelming echoes of disorder. I paced, turned my back, and sat by an empty table outside. And for a moment, everything was at ease. The leaves above the tree swayed in front of me, and danced playfully with the wind. My eyes relished this quiet nature, and the time I have been blessed with. Even though, tranquility was only there for a fleeting moment. One leaf fell from the branch, as soon as my name was called from the distance.

I stood up, and packed my bag that felt heavier than before. Time to do the thing I avoided the most.

Talking.

Talking to others was never my strongest suit. In hindsight, I was able to discern the reason as to why I behaved like such. My extraversion scale was scored at the other, farthest end of the spectrum. I was and am, an introvert.

Eysenck had defined five personality dimensions that reflected psychological traits in order to determine one's personality. He described 'Extraversion' as the quality of a person's sociability. I displayed the usual characteristics of introversion. I easily tire of engaging in social communication, and would prefer to speak to close friends.

His philosophy had me convinced, because I saw myself in his descriptions. It's like he was telling a story about me. That was how authentic it felt, because the concept of introversion applied to me. His teachings gave me light, as I was wandering in the dark about my identity.

Layug, Justine Marie - Socialization

Growing up closely to my family had a big factor on what i am right now, All of the good traits and attitude that i have now is because that i have seen to them. i see how they cope up and handle problems whether its big or small the way they treat other people and how to be always positive in life - knowing others intention requires imagining the situation from their perspective. meads believe that social experience depends on our seeing ourselves as others do. or taking the role of other

Lim, Jimson - Socialization

While growing up, I experienced to have friends that had influenced me on my choices, needs, and wants. One day my friends wanted to go into the museum and I don’t have any choice to go with them even if I didn’t want to go there. They had affected me greatly in shaping my personality and to build a sturdy foundation on who I am today. When I am with my friends I cared for my self-image, often I think to myself what others think of me, thus becoming more aware on how I act with them. Just as the theory of George Herbert Mead stated, He said that the self develops solely through social experience. For me I can relate to his theory greatly. Because through my experience in my childhood, it had greatly helped my personality to who I am today. And the things that he had stated in his theory had happened to me.
