about this story
Being separate with my family is hard. In all honesty, I feel like I was isolated, just like there's an iron fence separating me and my parents. My childhood was fun, but there's a feeling of loneliness. Nevertheless, I found peace within myself. As I grew older, I was becoming emotionally unstable, which is due to the lack of emotional support when I was still a child. Yet, I learned how to be happy being alone. The quietness and peace made me feel like I'm up in heavens feeling serenity. However, the misunderstandings with my family on ideas we don't agree built fire inside me that I rebelled. I wanted my own thoughts to be heard because, yes, we are a family, we are emotionally connected, but we don't always have the same thoughts. Thankfully, through God's grace, I was able to find myself again. In the dark world of mine, I found light. My old me was gone and I started to become more understanding. I think thoroughly first before I act and speak. Before, I imagined myself walking alone in a forest, but now, I have my loved ones.
