Patricia Churchland's philosophical works mostly centers to brain. She began to study neuroscience with the help and encouragement of his professor, Larry Jordan. She was also inspired by her parents who have interests in sciences and worldview. She has been into 'conceptual analysis as philosophers preferred method for exploring the nature of the mind.' Patricia explores more on what neuroscience can contribute, as well as to recognize neuroanatomy (brain structure) and neurophysiology (brain function). There was a time that she visited the head of Neuroanatomy Department at the University of Manitoba College just to gather ideas about neurophilosophy. There, she was encouraged to take courses and laboratories along with medical students. She experienced getting invited to attend neurology rounds. She get paid to teach philosophy to undergraduates, associated with her professors. Since then, her interests in neuroscience becomes bigger and deeper.
