Five Card Story: My Day

about this story
As I sit in class waiting for the last bell to ring I start to get impatient. Our teacher is setting up the backdrop for our play titled A Beautiful Day. She talks, and talks, and talks. I start to zone out and pretty much miss half of what she's saying, but I don't miss the last bell that goes off. I head down the road to my favorite coffee shop that serves cool pictures out of creme on the top of them. However, I don't like the coffee I think it tastes bitter and gross. The smell is even worse though. "Why would someone ever make that?" I wonder. I finish up my homework and hot chocolate and decide to quickly head down to the beach. It smells fresh and clean, it looks beautiful as the sun reflects off the water, and it's very calming and peaceful. I spend a while walking and feeling the sand between my toes but I shortly head home. I walk up the cold brick path that leads to my front door, take off my shoes, and lay down for a nap.
