Five Card Story: Spring

about this story
I head outside into my garden, looking at the trees. The leaves still haven't grown on the first one, and passing by it tangles into my sweater. I get the rough branches un caught and look up at the next tree. This tree has buds on it now, and I stop for a moment to admire them. I continue walking to my blackberry bushes, and kneel down as I look at all the freshly grown berries. I pick one off and bite into it, the sweet taste filling my mouth. Once I pick all the fully grown ones off the bush, I head up to the porch with a full basket. I stop for a moment to admire the beach behind my house, and see some kids running down the nearby kill together, enjoying the cool breeze.
