Five Card Story: A Boy Who Wanted a Kitten

about this story
One day there was a kitten sitting in a basket on the side of the road. A boy named Caleb was walking by with his parents and saw the kitten. He asked if he could take the kitten home. His parents said yes, but that they were not going to keep the kitten. They would take it to a shelter. Caleb really wanted to keep the kitten, so he got all dressed up and gave a speech to his parents about why he should be able to keep the kitten. The parents told Caleb that they lived in a big building in the city and that the kitten would have no where to run around outside. They said the would need a big house with big windows and a big backyard in order to have a pet. A few months later, when it was Fall, and the leaves were turning red, Caleb and his parents moved to a new house. Caleb was finally allowed to get a kitten.
