Five Card Story: the elephant's day out.

about this story
The elephant escaped the zoo one day, excited to see the world and what new things he could stomp on with his feet.
He saw a brick wall, painted vibrantly with swirls of colors he'd only seen on people passing by his glass. He couldn't stomp on that.
He saw people, out and about and doing things he had never seen them do before. He thought they could only walk, run, and cry! He couldn't stomp on them.
He saw a small little creature with skin like his, perched on a rock and soaking in the sun. He looked so peaceful, the elephant thought. With his trunk, he scooped him up and placed him on his head so that couldn't stomp on him.
Finally, the elephant saw the sky. It was there before, and the elephant saw it sometimes, but never with colors like this. it reminded him of the wall he first when he escaped the zoo, with it's vibrant colors blending into the sky. The elephant felt small, like the creature on his head.
He smiled.
