Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs can be extremely dangerous to yourself, along with others around you.Drunk driving can make the world around you seem like a blur, impairing your ability to drive safely.

Driving under the influence can be the outcome of many deeper issues. Individuals who rely on drugs or alcohol to cope with their problems may be some of the people who are making these bad decisions. Many people who partake in substance abuse feel like their problems are out of control and messy. They don't know where to begin fixing their problems.

Unfortunately , some people are not able to cope with these problems on their own, which can lead to death by substance abuse, driving under the influence, or even suicide. Their families have to live on with the sweet memories of their loved ones, if they do not receive help while they can.

However, for the individuals who want to make a change in their life, there is so much hope. Between counseling, rehabilitation, and support from their loved ones, there is no doubt that the healing process is possible. Celebrities such are Demi Lovato and Drew Barrymore are both victims of substance abuse, who got the help that they needed, and changed their world for the better. The journey of changing your life from a very dark place may be difficult, but the outcome is so beautiful with an amazing, bright future.

Overall, substance abusers may be afraid, or even hesitant to make the change in their life. For the people who end up taking that first step, it is like taking a step into a brand new world. Fortunately, for the people who have decided that they need to heal, they are able to share their story and their journey with others who are going through the same situation. Sometimes, seeing results can make a person want to try to change. The examples of individuals who have already took their journey toward sobriety, are the ones who have the biggest influence on others. In conclusion, driving under the influence is just a small part of a deep, dark world for some people. It is just one example of the hundreds of bad decisions individuals who deal with substance abuse make. However, there is help and there is hope for people who want to change their life for the better. Lastly, for the individuals who decide to take this journey, you will be helping millions of other substance abusers who are in the shoes you were once in.
