about this story

Yes! Today was the first day I arrived in Oregon. There were so many marvelous sights and people to see. I was staying at Shady Cove town near Crater lake national park. I was excited with overflowing joy to go see Crater lake national park because I've heard of all the wonders there. As I arrived at the lake the sky was baby blue and the sun glistened through the trees. All around me were extraordinary high mountains. I looked down to only see so many beautiful pink flowers falling swiftly from the trees. The breeze was cool and I felt at ease. The nature around me felt so comforting and safe. As I walked around the lake I took in all the stunning nature. I made sure to take lots of pictures with my new camera! I’ve never been to a place this beautiful! As it hit afternoon I decided to go walk around Shady Cove town. It was a very old and cute town. There were burnt down buildings and ancient structures. I found out the town was built in 1972! All the statues and shops were so much fun to see. I soon got very hungry so I stopped at one of the town's Pubs. I got a hamburger to eat with some fries and a drink. Soon after, I felt energized again. I couldn't wait to see what the rest of the day had in store for me. Later I went to one of the most famous buildings in town. It was old and run down but also poise and fancy at the same time. It had a clock on the very top and there were many antique items inside. My first day in Oregon was a success. The amount of excitement today has brought so much happiness. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
