about this story

Driving down the busy highway Emily realized she forgot her keys for work. She decided to take a shortcut given by Siri. Emily started noticing that the area she was in wasn't familiar. But she trusted Siri anyway. Eventually she reached a dead end but on the right near some trees there was a do not enter sign. In her head she thought ¨should I miss work and follow the mysterious path behind the sign” or ¨should I go to work and not risk getting fired. Emily decided to go with her gut and take a risk. She felt that it was her destiny to follow the path. She got out of her small beat up truck and ducked under the chain holding up the sign. Stumbling on a few rocks she hustled over a small creek. Emily walked cautiously along the dry dirt path. The bushes started to become very sparse and Emily could see a large old mansion. Knowing the risks that someone could live there she still walked up to the large wooden door. On the porch there was one yellow and one blue chair. They looked old as if they had been there for years. She walked inside and there was a huge staircase. She walked through the house and in the middle living room there was a strange wilted plant with green spikes on it. She was startled because she heard the plant talk. Although she was frightened she listened to what the plant had to say. It had told her that an old couple used to live there to take care of the plant. They enjoyed sitting in the yellow and blue chairs but one day they mysteriously disappeared and the plant was left alone. The plant had told her that if she came once a day to water the plant she would have fortune for the rest of her life. She obeyed and lived happily ever after.
