It was a normal summer morning. The sunrays were blurred by the grey clouds that often covered the blue skies behind. My cats were lounging around in the garden with me; picking at the freshly painted white fences and chasing ants on the sidewalk, who were crowded around a piece of toast I dropped, opening the back porch door. I watched them, smiling and laughing, happy that summer was finally coming to a close and autumn was getting closer. My flowers were finally blooming and my dislike of mornings has finally expired. That was due to all of the early mornings of taking care of both my cats and my plants and exploring the new city. I visited the newly built museum. It’s exhibits were what brought me to find a hobby of my own. If artists can paint such tiny things as the stem of a flower, I should be able to maintain one.. I thought. But I was wrong considering I had no prior practice and dirt can be very hard to get out of your fingernails, clothes and eyes. Not to mention that my cats enjoyed constantly tearing the poor flowers out of the garden by the root then eating them. There was a lot of trial and error throughout this summer. To fix it, I decided to go to the ocean. At first, it was just relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sun and cool breeze filled with the smell of salt water. I enjoyed the calm, long nights and the event filled days. The beach was my absolute favorite place to be in the summer. But even then the plants followed me. There were mushrooms in the water. There were small, almost transparent mushrooms that were all over the beach. I managed to take a few home. I added them to my garden and they made my flowers bloom. It’s good to be home.
