about this story

Have you ever just lived your life one day and just wondered when will your time stop, when will this borrowed life end, and how much are you going to use it while you’re still at it. You’ll walk out of your door one day on your way to school or work, and wonder if that’ll be the last time, you’ll say goodbye to your family and walk out of your own home. There will be a tomorrow, a morrow of uncertainty. One day you’ll drink your last cup of coffee and think about the good times in your life and all the time that you felt regret, the feeling of guilt where you could’ve done the right thing or something better at that time. The feeling of saying something too far that it would hurt the one you care about. The time where you could’ve listened for once so there wouldn’t be any problems.

One day you’ll go back to the old tree that bore fruit, only to see it wasn’t as greener as it used to. You will be walking down the same sidewalk that you used to go on every day, but it’ll never be the same, as you walk on that sidewalk full of guilt and remorse. Regret is always at the end of something, you will soon realize that, and wish you spent that time well while looking at the people you care. You can never escape the inevitability that’s about to come your way, because at the end of the day, we will all be forever gone unhappy. "Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you." - Carl Sandburg
