about this story

my mom's stepdad is a librarian. he doesn't see a lot of people come into the library, so he talks to his one coworker most of the day. on his way home, he stops at the liquor store for a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of vodka. on his drive home, he sees some graffiti on a fence that happens to say something about his life. he stops at a sign, as he usually does, and smokes a cigarette. Once he's done with his 15-minute smoke, he gets back into the car and heads home. he sees a tunnel where he used to hang out as a young kid. seeing this brings him sadness as he realizes he is no longer young and forever aging.
