about this story

Life is always complicated and overwhelming, and the future seems terrifying because of the unknown. Both works together that can completely eat you alive. It'll be on your hands if you want to fight against the negative circumstances and challenges.

Like the lighthouse near the shore, I stood. Watching the raging waves of life crawling back and forth near me, crashing loudly against the stone my feet are planted on. The feeling of worry and anxiety creeps in my mind as my eyes follow the water's flow. Should I take a step forward? Should I dive with the challenges coming? Am I ready for it? Will I have the courage?

But eventually, yes, I'd take a step to try and cross the wide sea. The fear and doubts I carry never vanished in my heart. Even when you're unprepared, life will sometimes try to push you forward by leaving you no choice. Step, step, and step I go. Small and slow steps I show.

Then I saw myself in a new place. A nice and dry environment I face. But what's this? The only colors were black, gray, and white. It was a point that I think there was no meaning in walking through life. It was hard, messy, and full of pain I couldn't bear. My thoughts were eaten by questions that I find hard to answer.

Walking on straight, I couldn't see what's waiting forward. I keep on wondering when will the road end? It was tiring, and I was thirsty for something I unknowingly crave. I was moving on a path I didn't care where, but good thing I didn't stop. Why? Because there was definitely something waiting ahead the way.

The one thing I forgot, the one thing that made me feel like drowning in the water my feet could reach it's ground, and the one thing that could somehow give me meaning, is God. Did I not fill your expectation? Sure, some of you might say that it's a common answer, but have you ever try reaching out and talk to him by prayer? Ask him for help, not just on your life problems but also for your injured heart? I recently found a church that could make me walk closer again with God, and in all honesty, I've never felt this light from all the burden I carried by myself. I then thought to myself that simple answers we seek are just waiting for us to look at them. All we need is to lift our heads.
