There's a reason we choose to believe in certain things. We are more likely to believe in something if we have a lot of evidence supporting it. We will be less likely to believe in anything if we have less evidence. Similarly, the degree of belief we have in something is proportional to the quantity of evidence we have for it. For example, we might choose to agree with certain religion because it shows simple evidences that God is true, despite the fact that this argument is not as well backed by evidence as another religion with whom we would agree. Same goes for our traditions and beliefs. As well as in accidents, we tend to believe on reasons that are more true and reliable.
