下大雪的下午，我開著車從176號公路的交流道往回家的路走去。到家的時候已經是早上6點了，朋友的車還停在外面的馬路上。我跨過馬路走到他家門前，已經聞到早晨的咖啡跟烤好的吐司散發出的香味，按了門口旁的門鈴，等朋友出來迎接我。一進門，他問我說「吃飯了沒」，開了一整晚的車的我一定是還沒，他讓我去後面雞舍撿幾顆蛋回來。朋友打了幾個蛋，將吐司泡進去，幫我做了法式吐司當早餐，吃飽喝足的我，在送完朋友出門上班後，就窩去客房準備補眠了。
