about this story

I sat on my chair, bored. Being an immortal really has its downsides, doesn't it? I stared at the bookshelf on my room and saw a book that enticed my interest. "A City of Love", what a nice title. I decided to grab it and have a nice read. Two hours had passed, and I felt like Cupid's arrow had hit my heart. I remembered my past romance with a mortal because of that book. I remember walking down a grassy hill with him while we talk about life itself. I had looked into his eyes and it was filled with love. I remember having to see him run from the paparazzi since he was a well known musician, and when he got away from them we would laugh together. I still remember our first meeting together, we had looked at each other with hate since I would bully him and laugh at him because of how love-crazy he is. I vividly remember when we had to let go of each other, since he said he had fallen out of love for me and that he had found another girl he wanted to love, but I know the thoughts of humans since I am a goddess, and in his mind he found out that I was an immortal filled with absolute power, and it would be impossible for us to be happy with each other, since death can visit him one day and for me death is too much of a coward to visit me. What a good day to reminisce the days with a person who I only truly loved. I, Aphrodite, being in love with a mortal? The other gods would laugh at me for that. I threw the book across the room and went to sleep instead.
