Every day I would pass by the little crumbling house on the corner of 7th Street on my way to the ice cream store. The house was old and worn, looking almost unhabitable. But still, every day when I visited, I would be greeted by the little girl on 7th Street. I never really liked her, she was quiet and rude. She had frail arms and a starving frame. But I had nobody else to talk to, and she was a great listener. She would be sitting on the stairs, in her perfect little white dress, almost as pale as her skin. It was as if she were waiting for me each time. One time, I asked her to go to the ice cream store with me, which was only a few blocks away. The little girl on 7th street politely declined as she "Musn't leave the porch." as her mother told her. Once school started, I didn't go that way anymore, and I soon forgot the little girl on 7th street. That was until I visited the neighborhood creek to fetch my lost kite. As I walked on the soft tall grass down to the water bank, something felt off. I stopped in my tracks when I noticed a familiar little white dress floating in the river. My heart stopped as I stared at the entity in the water. It had pale skin and a frail frame. her face was distorted and a light shade of blue. I quickly ran and screamed all the way home. That was the last time I saw the little girl on 7th street.
